Banastre's a Rock Star

This was taken a month ago. This is today!

While at Wal-Mart today, Banastre finally said yes to a question I ask almost every day. Would you like to get a hair cut? I practically ran to the front of the store and luckily there was no wait. These pics show the results. We are loving it. He even reprimanded me tonight when I touched his hair. "Mommy, don't. You will mess up my hair style."

Little Mr. Man

Here's my little man who changes every day. The only thing that hasn't changed is his liking for hair cuts. The last one was right before Christmas and he doesn't want one now. As soon as he agrees, we will be back at the hair salon for a trim. If you ask him why he likes his hair long, he says because I don't want my hair cut!!!!

He fit in very well at the beach this weekend and everyone there actually called him a boy. I guess they are used to the long hair down there!

Elizabeth's spring pictures!

She's beautiful!! (ok, I'm biased...)

Fire and Ice - Fort Lauderdale

Elizabeth had a regional dance competition this past weekend in Fort Lauderdale. Mommy forgot her camera, so is having to make do with a few of the pics taken by the professionals. I know of at least one more mom who has a few pics of her too. (Of course, there are none of the time we spent on the beach and the playground...but we will be back at the beach in a few weeks and I promise there will be a ton of pics then!) So, with no further ado, I will let the next few pics of my little Diva speak for themselves!

These were from her dance "Arrezondo." It received a Platinum award. They also performed Hairspray, Sesame Street, and Rubbernecking. These all three received Platinum's as well. Elizabeth is also a part of a massive Production number including 86 students from her dance school called Fuego Picante. It received a DIAMOND award! We are so proud of all the dancers and all of their hard work. One of the dances from our school took the top prize called "Break the Ice." As soon as the company who took the pics have them available online, I will post a link so everyone can see all the pics from all of her dances.
This is a pic Elizabeth just had to have. You never know...she might really be on the cover of a magazine some day!

Long time No see....

I know it has been a very long time since I have updated. It's all my fault. I can't tell a lie. Things have been crazy busy around here. Between an 8 year old who is always at dance and school and a 3 year old who is growing and changing every day, I find it increasingly difficult to find any me time. The time I am off work, is spent with the family. It was brought to my attention this weekend (Thanks Jen!!) that some people do still check my blog, so I intend to do better with keeping it updated! I'm not going to try and go back and catch up for all the time I missed, but will jump right in ans start with the current events! Enjoy!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Banastre!!!!

It's hard to believe my baby boy is turning three today!  He's growing and changing so much every day.  Daddy is sick, so we had to change our plans this weekend.  All of the big birthday things will be done later this week.  I did take Banastre and Elizabeth to Animal Kingdom today to play in the Dino Playland.  I have tons of pictures and will be adding them tomorrow.  Later this week will be T-rex Cafe and a trip to Chuck E. Cheese's.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BANASTRE!!!!!!!!

Th e Lost City of Atlantis

This morning while getting Elizabeth ready for school, the following conversation took place.  I just wanted to record it so we wouldn't forget it!

Elizabeth:  Mommy, why do the call Atlantis the lost city?
Mommy starts describing why and is interrupted by Elizabeth.
Elizabeth: But why is it lost?
Mommy:  Because no one has ever found it.
Elizabeth: It's in Georgia.
Mommy:  It is?
Elizabeth: Yeah (imagine attitude and eye rolling)!  Atlantis, Georgia.

So, if you are taking a trip to Atlantis anytime soon, let me know if you found the Lost Treasure and remember Elizabeth too, she told you where it's located now!
